And the winner is... MN Boys' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Jared Rainey, Maple Grove. Rainey recorded 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists to help the Crimson defeat Irondale 69-66 on Feb. 13. Maple Grove is on a seven-game winning streak, thanks in part to the senior's 12.7 points per game this season.

Top performer candidates

Yahya Madar, Mounds Park Academy. The senior scored 17 points in two separate games last week — a 68-54 win over Community Peace on Feb. 11 and a 75-62 loss to West Lutheran three days later. Madar is averaging 17.1 points per game. 

Mitchell Hirschberg, Orono. Against Wright County Conference East Division rival Holy Family Catholic on Feb. 15, Hirschberg made his mark across the stat sheet. The senior registered 14 points, 10 assists, five steals and four rebounds in a 73-66 victory.

Tre Holloman, Cretin-Derham Hall. Holloman recorded a double-double (24 points, 11 assists) in Cretin-Derham Hall's 86-78 victory over No. 8-4A Eden Prairie on Feb. 14. He leads the state in assists (187) this season.

Bennett Otto, Champlin Park. Twenty-three points and seven boards from Otto led Champlin Park to a 70-61 win over Blaine on Feb. 13. The 6-foot-4 senior is averaging 17.6 points per game for the No. 10-4A Rebels. 

Brock Bangasser, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. In a Feb. 16 win over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Bangasser recorded 16 points, five rebounds and four blocks. The senior leads his team in points per game (15.8), rebounds per game (8.6) and blocks per game (1.8). 

Jacob Hutson, Edina. Hutson scored a season-high 39 points to guide Edina to an 85-53 victory over No. 7-4A Wayzata on Feb. 15. The 6-foot-9 junior averages 20.5 points per game. 

Logan Nagorski, Big Lake. The senior scored 27 points in the Hornets' 65-62 win over Monticello on Feb. 11, then posted 24 points in a 69-58 loss to St. Michael-Albertville the next day.

Drake Dobbs, Eden Prairie. Dobbs had two games of 20-plus points last week. He scored 21 to push the No. 8-4A Eagles past Cambridge-Isanti 85-82 on Feb. 15, and one day earlier, he scored 26 points in an 86-78 loss to Cretin-Derham Hall. 

Cole Nicholson, Chaska. Nicholson's scoring has helped No. 9-4A Chaska keep its seven-game win streak alive. Nicholson recorded 28 points in an 80-51 win at Robbinsdale Cooper on Feb. 12, then had 29 points to lead Chaska to a 53-51 triumph over Minnetonka two days later.
